Hi all,
first time poster, from across the river, hope that's okay.
A friend has a Sonic Frontiers Power Two amp that keeps blowing tubes (big fire, burned reisistors, the whole 4th of July).
Know of anyone local to work on the beast? No shipping carton, 85 lbs., hence the necessity for local work.

Jeff can certainly handle the repair. He should be able to figure out what is causing the amp to nuke also.

I had one that blew a tube, burnt the board and apparantely a lot more.  Wasn't able to get it repaired because I couldn't get a hold of a schematic.  Good luck to your friend, and they should consider having some fuses added while the repair person is in there.

I had a Power 2 that blew a cathode resistor and a bias pot. The folks at the Parts Connexion were very helpful in sending me a schematic and a replacement bias pot: http://www.partsconnexion.com/product7505.html

Just had my first experience with Jeff. Quite a character, but a genuine guy and goldmine of knowledge--not to mention very capable and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
