Well I couldn't hold out.  After rolling a few tubes and spinning a few CDs and Vinyl, I called Bill and signed on as a MiniMax dealer.

This is a special little unit and I think it will be perfect for my customers, clients, and buddies who have VMPS (or other speakers too) speakers who are looking for a tubular front end.

Bill is a great guy and he is also sending the new Eastern Electric CD player out for me and all the locals in my area to audition.

He also said he might send the tube amp.  If this does show up, anyone in So CA is welcome to stop by and hear it (or any of the MiniMax lineup that I may have)

Congrats...I'm using the minimax with some RM1's right now, and it sounds great.

What amp are you using?

Even with the Bass as good as it is with the 626Rs (in my room) I have added the VMPS LARGER sub via the 3rd channel of the CineNova 3 channel amp I have and a new NHT X-2 crossover.

 I'm also a new NHT dealer

So far I have only used the x-over as a "low pass filter" to blend the Larger with the 626Rs (running full range) from 50 or so down.

This x-over looks like it could be the real deal for $350.  It has:

* Continuosly variable frequency adjustment
* Room Gain adjustment
* Phase adjustment
* Level/gain
* Summing for mono Sub use
* LFE pass through, so you can also run the old HT through it
* Auto on and or "triggered" on/off so you don't have to turn it on and off
* And lots of other neat features.

So far it is equal to the best bass I have heard through a x-over (My Dahlquist Low pass filter) and is tight and well defined in its frequency range.

Right now the "weak link" is probably the Denon DVD2200.  I'm looking forward to trying the MiniMax tubed CD player soon.

Did some pretty good listening last night and I have to say, things are sounding pretty "freakin'" good.

I have an odyssey stratos w/cap upgrade. It's a '02 model but is just getting broken in now. I could use better tubes too. I'm sure the minimax will sound rediculous with some really premium tubes.
