That's as much as can be veneered on that surface.  Can't veneer curved surfaces in two planes very cleanly.

That's why I'd select a painted version. Combining the two surface types does not look correct to this trained eye.

Don't give up hope.  When I get my SS-10's I plan on doing a side by side comparison with my HT1's and maybe the SS-10's will fail badly.  Then you wouldn't have to worry.   I just wouldn't count too hard on it though.  :lol:

Hey Gene, I knew you wouldn't be able to resist!

I can personally vouch for the beauty of Gene's HT3s. . .he was kind enough to demo them for me last Saturday.

Maybe you and I need a "group buy" on the SoundScapes!!!  :D
