I am considering selling my Modwright Signature truth Sony 999ES rig and having Modwright mod my Oppo BDP-83 with the full monty.  I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the modded Oppo BDP-83 outclasses the Modwright 999ES Signature Truth in sound quality?  Anyone compare these or did this themselves and can comment?

Why?  They are both Modwright mods to 2 different machines.  Why couldn't they be compared fairly?

Because if you didn't like the first one as an example - is that ok to post in this circle? - doesn't seem kosher - I wouldn't want anyone to dis my stuff in my circle.

Obviously they will sound different-one is tube and the other solid state.  I was merely asking for comparisons.  They are both fine sources.  I just wanted to know if anyone had sold their 999ES and went to the modwright Oppo and what to expect as differences.
