With all the concerns/products out there relating to vibrational isolation I can't understand why you'd mount tubes onto a speaker.

Especially tube amps, which are the most sensitive to vibration.

Having said that, somebody's got a pair of these up on Agon:

I gotta agree, they look cool as hell.

Every concert I've ever been to has tubes, amps, speakers all bouncing together.. so, why not at home?  I'm not nuts about the styling, though.

I wonder if all that isolation hooplah is just that... a bunch of hooplah.  I've never heard make much of a difference.. except some sorbothane feet once made my dac sound a little less crisp.  Using the stock feet vs. vibrapods, sorbo, wood chips, innertube, bubble wrap, or various foams have yielded little to no difference from each other for me.  There's so much vibration in the air I can't imagine just isolating the feet would help.  Mass loading is another story, though.

Maybe these speakers are so heavy, the amps aren't as affected by the vibrations.

T & A in Germany do a transmission line floorstander, with an electrostatic tweeter, driven by a built in valve amp. Look at

My fave tube driven active speaker is the late 70's Acoustat Monitor-X.  Monitor-3 and Monitor-4 weren't too shabby either.  Most logical usage of tubes in audio I know of.
