True story: My brother-in-law's a nuclear engineer at the Chalk River nuclear facilty and he may have been pulling my leg, but as a category, these guys are not that whimsical. Anyhow, upon inspecting my Bryston gear he remarked that they used some at the plant. I'm not sure what for, however, he did indicate that there's a particular disposal protocol for old equipment that might be, can I say, hot in more ways than one, stringent safeguard being what they are. Mortified as he mentioned some Bryston gear being plowed into a secure landfill, I told him that I really really didn't mind if they were just, you know, a little bit radioactive, as my wife probably is too. Alas, he didn't bite, just grinned knowingly...
