Has anyone ever heard the Grand Veena by REFERENCE 3A  hooked up to an all Bryston system?.if so....how was the sound?........i been doing some reading on the speakers and they seem pretty impressive(on paper)....however i have no experience in hearing the Grand Veena's yet.

I haven't either, however speaking from paper too:

- why exactly are they orienting the drivers toward the ceiling; unless the tweeter is of a special design for this application, this will offer you a direct sound that is not representative of the on-axis tweeter response;

- they are also into cryogenically treated monocrystaline continous cast solid core power cables with Furutech plugs; I won't comment any more

- this pic http://www.reference3a.com/images/dulcet04.jpg shows a large conductive metal plate under the terminals. I'm not impressed by this design.

The baffle is sloped to time-align the drivers. It may appear that the tweeter is pointing to the ceiling, it is in fact not. They are not the only ones to use a sloped baffle, Thiel and others also employ this type of time-alignment.

May I ask, what about that is un-impressive?

I'd rather prefer an electrically nonconducting material around the terminals.
