So, why aren't small mid-ranges more popular? It seems to me that a 6 or 7 inch "midrange" coupled to a one inch tweeter is a not-very-good compromise.
I removed the spam post (and the followups), but this is really the Facilitator's responsibility. Thanks
Darn, how do you design this sort of stuff with all these esoteric parts and still charge something comparable to a midrange sub well known commercial brand prices? It is a wonder that your design are not more popular.
So Rick, what is the difference between the Verita and the Tempesta? I know that one is a 2-way and the other is a 3-way, but I'm curious what this translates to with regard to sonics. All else being equal, would a 3-way always be better? For instance, is the RC3R superior to the SSR?
My background includes several years in contract electronics manufacturing. During that time I really learned quite a bit about controlling production and inventory costs. That has carried over to my speaker work as well as my desire to make high end products affordable to a wider audience. Material costs over the past year have remained fairly steady, even in some cases dropping, so we have not increased prices like other speaker companies have.As far as popularity I think some of that is due to the fact that I've avoided the excess commercialism of some other companies. But I do think we have flown under the radar a little too much so that's why I exhibited at the recent D.C. show and will be at Axpona next spring in Atlanta. We also have a review in progress with one of the Soundstage online magazines.
Rick,Any idea when were going to get to see the Soundstage review? and hopefully some NRC measurements.
