Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but are there ANY tubes that are still being manufactured in the US? 
I was just reading an article http://www.todaysengineer.org/2008/Jun/backscatter.asp
which estimates tubes may be a $500 million industry and yet we don't make any?

If one negates Today's Engineer statement to that affect...there is at least one:
