Why wouldn't they work out? No one will have the same ears, cables (if you believe they make a difference) or acoustics. Everyones' synergistic stew will differ.

Got this today from a customer in the UK:

"Hi James

Many thanks for the quick response.

Looks like I've got a few extra pounds to spend - spent the morning listening to a BP26 with my ATC active 20's and they have never sounded so good.

Cheers

Paul"

I commented on ATCs in another thread...

They're fantastic speakers so long as you give them what they like - A ton of clean power, a lot of breathing room, and turn them up a bit volume wise.

If any one of these conditions are missing, they'll range from mediocre and forgettable at best, to dull, closed in, lacking and boring at worst.

Their imaging, sounstage, tone, balance, and dynamics are world class when powered right.  I wouldn't use anything less than a 4B SST with their entry level speakers.  Seriously.

I love my Dynaudio's and don't think I'd switch, but there's a pair of ATC SCM20SL speakers on audiogon that are now at a very attractive price.  They are basically brand new.

Sort of... I have a BP25MC, ATC SPA2-150 and SCM20SL's and am very happy with the noises they're making.
I'm changing interconnects and have gone to using bi-wire jumper cables rather than bi-wiring (with the same cable). It's quite surprising how changing/experimenting with different ancillaries yields some quite large changes, for the good I might add.
