LS9 Build - Dampening Detail
« on: 15 Apr 2010, 08:16 pm »
Hey experts - I have finished my LS9 Cabinets after a few winters of pcking away at them.  I used No-Rez throughout, except in the tweeter enclosure where I lined them with some dense sticky backed weather strip.
My Question - should I also stuff in any kind of fiberglass or Acusta Stuff Poly Fill in either or both the Woofer / Tweeter enclosures?
And - what kind and Gage of solid wire is used in the KIT as I may need more?
Pictures pending - they are awesome.

You need to pack the tweeter cavity full with poly fill or fiberglass insolation.

On the woofer side, and in addition to the No Rez, just loosely fill the air space of the box on the tweeter side and on the woofer side up to the front flare of the port.

If you need more wire then let me know. At some point I started using all solid core OFC wire with polyethylene jacketing (really high quality wire), but you may have gotten your kit prior to me having that wire in stock. Just let me know what it is that you have.
