We weren't bickering. Just a harmless exchange of dry humor. Sorry for the distraction. I'm cool with the Almarro if it's something that you are considering. But that's not what the original post was about.
I think the original post is about moving from a 300B amp to a 45 in hopes of getting better sound quality for less power. That's what caught my attention anyway.
Did I get that part wrong? Sorry if I did. Sincerely.
I took the time to read the 6moons review of the Yamamoto amp. They peg it as a "modern" sounding amplifier, so maybe it does sound closer to a single ended pentode amp (or solid state amp) than a single ended 300B. I haven't heard it so I can't say. Maybe someone here can comment.
I don't know if "modern sounding" is the direction you want to go. I know that I don't. (That's just a personal preference comment, not an insult.
