I bought a couple of audiobooks from the iTunes store. I guess I assumed they would be fine for use in the car, but... they're compressed like crazy - one channel @ 30kbps, a whole 2.5 hours shoehorned into 30 megabytes. The difference to the same type of material (different book but same series, actually it's a radio play) ripped from CD in AAC is easily apparent even in the car.
Anyone else had the same experience - are all audiobooks on the iTunes store like this? I'll have to re-buy these as CDs and rip them...
