So the ring light finally arrived. Truth be told it didn't come with an adapter to fit
the Sigma 17-70 macro and that led to the Tamron 90 macro. In other words... a
cheap light made in China seemed like a reasonable excuse to buy another lens.
Here it is mounted on the camera.

Note the famous big power amp on the left.

The control module is powered b 2 AA batteries and also comes with a 3 volt DC
adapter and it does fit onto the hot shoe, but I have it sitting on the floor.

The two images above were done with a Cool Pix lest there be any confusion.
The images below with a Pentax K-x - manual focus mainly at F2.8.

There seems to be a fair bit of CA in some of these images, especially on the dime and around the queen
further down . Not sure why that is?

Again, these are all manually focused. I was thinking about getting a Katzeye, but I'm not so sure I need
one... The light has 48 LEDs, but can be switched to run only 24 either on the left or the right.
