The SongTowers and SongCenter not only met my expectations, they far exceeded them, given their design goals and parameters.

The reason I am selling them is simple. I am getting married this fall and need to free up some cash to fund those expenses.

The SongTowers are in my HT setup and they are only lightly used so it makes the most sense to move them first. Though the decision to sell them was tough, I know that I will be able to replace them in the future. I love what Jim Salk does with his collaborative designs and see myself moving into another trio of Salk speakers once things settle down.

I see from your posts that you have purchased some SongTowers yourself. Did you have any specific questions or concerns?

- David.

Additional Information for Added Savings!!!

I am on a business cycle that means regular trips to Boston and the NYC area over the next few weeks.

If you are willing to meet me at my location, when I am in these cities, you can SAVE on any shipping or the expenses and time incurred for halfway meetups.

So, if you're in the Boston and NYC tri-state areas, or points close-by, SAVE on the cost of the SALKs as well as SAVE yourself the wait time, if you are planning on ordering them.

Thanks for your interest, and I will be happy to answer any questions.

I've posted the Salk SongTowers and SongCenter on Audiogon and have modified the original posting slightly so both postings match up.  But lost the photos when I did that. Need to figure out how to re-attach the photos - hope to have them up soon.

THANKS for posting the photographs, Evan.

Was getting back to a pm Robin had left me.

Its Sunday...normally not too fast on my feet, but this humidity we are having is killing me - post my bike ride.

My thinking is Caviar, Pa`te' at least, definitly not chopped liver. 8)

Now if only I could sell these and pop the cork on that champagne I've cellaring - works well with a quality home made Pa`te' !!! But not chopped liver!

Thankful for all the support.

- David.

Those Sonnet stands are another reminder of just how dreadfully boring and stale N. American speaker stand options are by comparison.

I am finding it hard to believe these excellent speakers are still here.

I was wondering how they would match in a 5.1 system with my HT2-Tls as fronts and these as surrounds?  I dont need the center though since I already have one.

Still $2200 for the Front Center Front is a great deal.

If your receiver/processor supports 6/7 channels, you could use the center as the 6th (rear) channel.

David,

I am glad to hear the STs found a new home :D! Congrats to Andrew, I'm sure he will enjoy them. I was so tempted but fought the urge, some day I will own Salk speakers for sure.

Hi Bill,

So have you made a choice or is it still a secret?

Hi Bill,

Hey David,

I decided to stay with my Sierra-1s. I have heard Ascend will be offering an upgrade to the Sierra-1. I do not have all the details but from what I have heard it will be a significant step up in SQ :).
