Silver Tact 2.2 XP (DAD configuration) with Maui Mods power supply and upgraded Maui Mods DAC for the analogue out.
Asking for: $3500, OR OBO. Full retail of present configuration and accessories: $6885.
The Maui Mods make a significant improvement to the sound, giving a "blacker" quieter background, and a more musical (dare I say "analogue" like) sound. The modded DAC is one of the better sounding DACs on the market, IMHO.
Original box, manuals, and microphone included.
Also included: LinearX M-31 mic, with original case and TACT compatible mic calibration file.
Unit is currently at Aberdeen Electronics (Maui Mods) in Las Vegas and will ship from there. I don't live in the States, and sent the unit to Anthony at Aberdeen to be checked before sale. He reports that the unit is "100%".
I prefer to sell the unit as is, even though I think I could make more money if I sell the modded boards (PS and DAC) and LinearX mic on their own. I just don't want the hassle of multiple sales.
The unmodded device sounds very good, but the modded device with the LinearX mic is on another level.
If I don't get a good offer on the modded unit I will consider selling the unit without mods.
