Single Driver (Fostex FE167E) crossoverless, Mass Loaded TL

This speaker is easy to drive (93db) and produces wonderfully smooth, natural and fatigue-free sound. It has the speed, coherency and midrange purity one would expect from a well-implemented single driver. Engaging and easy to listen to, they are really excellent on vocals, jazz, folk, acoustic and chamber music. The transmission line bass provides a surprising amount of fullness and punch.



They have the Fostex grills ($90) and Planet 10 Maple Phase Plugs ($35).







This pair is in excellent condition and rated 8 to be conservative.

Spikes are included, I do have shipping cartons but would prefer local sale. We can discuss. These are 80 lbs each and an earlier version Bob was building with MDF. Current ones are Baltic Birch Ply so they are a bit lighter in weight. I'm outside Charlotte, NC 28079

Take a look at other single driver offerings (Teckton, Fritz) with the FE167E they ain't got a cabinet like this. At 80 lbs it does not vibrate.

Beautiful speakers, great price, too bad I live so far away.

I can ship but always reluctant on the heavy stuff. I have had excellent service using Fed Ex. Just the last 2 weeks shipped an 85# Sub. I just got in via Fed Ex 246# total speakers with no problem.

I'm not going to lower $ these anymore.
