I have a jet book and find it buggy with terrible battery life and screen.  What kind of bugs?  Unforgiveable things like losing your place when returning to a book, and even worse, somehow corrupting files so that they will not open anymore, at all.  Page turning dynamics did not suit my reading Style, but that is a long and personal subject, so I will not get into it here.  The device seems like it cannot truly turn off, only enter standby, so the battery usually drains itself overnight, rendering it's battery life claims completely moot.  Perhaos most critically, the screen's viewing angles are incredibly frustrating -again, an involved topic I won't get into unless someone wants the details.  If anyone wants tl try one,  I'll accept lowball offers...The device clearly works for many people, especially people who have the ...never mind.

Anyway, glad the OP likes the nook.  I ended up with an iPad, which can buy/read both kindle and nook publications.  The battery life claims are reasonably accurate.  Oh yes, and the iPad allowed me to write this post, since my pc is dead.
