Greetings all.  Has anyone compared these two preamps?  Is it correct that the only difference between the two is that the Nova disconnects the AC when it operates?  Does this make a noticeable difference?  FWIW, my rig consists of a Groovetracer-modded Rega P5 with powersupply, BAT VK-32SE and Bryston 14B-SST2.  Thanks.

The following is from their website:

"The new Musical Surroundings Phonomena II Phono Stage from Michael Yee is a replacement for the award winning Phonomena. The Phonomena II is based on the existing Nova Phonomena but without the battery pack."

You could contact Musical Surroundings to verify that the battery psck is the only difference.

I used another brand battery powered phono for awhile and was impressed with the black background.
