Best input for computer audio from a mac pro book
« on: 24 Mar 2010, 01:33 am »
I am thinking of buying a BDA1 but do not want to use the usb input as it is not up to some of the others, What is the best way to go from the computer to the BDA1. I have no way to put a lynx card in the Mac so what should I do. Any ideas anyone especially James.

Which macbook pro do you have?

THe BDA-1 has both Optical and CoAx digital inputs. There is a good chance your macbook has either of those ouput options.
In laptops it will be piggy-backed with the Headphone outputs.

You just need a 3.5mm adapter, either in optical or coax.

almost all macbooks have the optical out as part of the headphone port.  I'm not aware of any macs with a coax outputs.  Most macs also support 96/24 audio by changing the settings in the MIDI audio tool
