Yes, he built them in baltic birch plywood. We can do this as well with our shop's CNC machine.

I'll bet the Veritas drivers would look marvelous in a set of those cabinets.

I just finished these speakers couple days ago.  They sound amazing!  I use them as mains and run them with a sub.  It would be hard pressed for anyone to find a system that rivals it,  and after considering the price, not possible.  Rick was very helpful with all my questions, initially with choosing a system and then after with assembly.  Very nice working with him.  It would be nice to have a CNC,  I did it the hard way using a template and router.  Many hours and lots of sanding to get it perfect.  Could not be happier with them!  Chris

By hand with a router?? Wow, that took some patience but it looks like it all paid off. Nice job.

Thanks for the compliments, I figure about 100 hours on those.  I'm thinking of doing a matching sub enclosure in the birch translam, but it's hard to justify the amount of waste that comes with stacking ply.  Anyway,  Thanks!

Here's a justification, Firewood. DONE!  Then again the toxins in the glue... Forget I said anything.

I would look at it from a standpoint of how long you plan on keeping the speakers. There are way of minimizing waste using a translam design but it gets complicated to explain but in the end, I think the justification comes from having an exceptional speaker system that were built by your own two hands that you will hold onto for a long time to come.
You deserve the pride of ownership.

My Wife doesn't like you guys right now, I'll be living in the shop again.  Tons of fun though!  Ya I can't imagine getting rid of these for a long time, with the hours I put in on them, so what are a few more if It means a matching sub.  Cheers

Now that's something that I can relate to. My DIY projects are forever going to be in my posession even if I find something that sounds better, they will always have a home with me.

Hey, what do you guys think about using the Seas L26ROY 10inch sub in a sealed .75cubic foot enclosure.  Everything I have read on this driver is positive and apperently very musical. I would be building a matching enclosure in the Birch translam and using it mainly for 2 Channel listening with the S6s.

These are the same woofers Rick uses in his Fondazione:

so they must be very good indeed. I've also heard very good things about Rythmik - http://www.rythmikaudio.com/DS1500ci.html

Yes, the Seas driver is an excellent performer. As far as the Rythmik drivers I think they tend to take a larger enclosure.
