Halo 2 will vanish from XBox Live on April 15, 2010 :(  "You will not be able to play Halo 2 on Xbox LIVE going forward" says Microsoft.

I have spent many hours off and on playing this excellent game. For all its shortcomings I got a real thrill when I was able to win a Rumble Pit game. At other times I wanted to curse the server administrators and developers for the inconsistent response that I got during the course of a few hours of playing on Live!

Anyone still playing Halo 2? You will of course still be able to play, just not on Live!

I am playing a few hours a week until it goes away...Then its time to move over to Halo 3 for good. The new version that comes out soon feature rocket packs - that should add another dimension to the game :)

Halo Reach looks awesome.  It is time to look forward, JQP.  My kids have been playing Halo2 on the original xbox in the play room.  It still lives on, just in LAN parties and home tourneys.
