Laundrew, it's cool. No worries. I just thought this was the Bryston board. Not a general audio board. That's all. He came on here saying Bryston is no good for him anymore and then announces he's selling the Bryston equipment. It's like if I went on to band a's board and said how great band b is, and that they're better, why would I come back to band a's board? If he wants to show off this newfangled other stuff, I can't stop him. That's up to James. That doesn't mean I have to accept it. I won't accept it. He's the typical audiophile constantly changing up equipment. I dunno if he's even sure he knows what he really wants. That said, best wishes to the guy. I just don't understand why he wants to continue to hang around here is all. And I really don't understand why anyone here wants him around as well.

Dave,

Are you aware that owning a Torus product is equivalent to owning a Bryston product in terms of one's legitimacy as a "Bryston Owner" for this circle.  If that isn't enough consider that VOLKS owns a BCD-1 which, if I'm not mistaken, wasn 't replaced with his 4B and BP26.  If you still insist that he should take a hike then maybe I should go with him since I have an Esoteric X-05 which I chose over the BCD-1.  Never mind that I have a pair of 7B's, BP26 and a Torus CS-15.  Andy will have to come with me because he spurned the BCD-1 for the X-05 as well.  Now you wouldn't want that would you?  What would we do here without Laundrew :thumb:.

What you get at McD DEFINITELY does NOT look like this

What you get at a nice restaurant quite likely looks like this

I've always had the nagging suspicion that in many instances the Mc vs Bryston business has less to do about the sound and more to do about the blue meters. :)

He does? I thought he got rid of it all. Well, my mistake there.

No, you can buy whatever you want. I'm not gonna fault you for having some non-Bryston gear. Again, what I am irritated about is that pronouncement that Bryston doesn't satisfy him anymore, then goes on and on how the Mc is so great, and then says he's gonna sell the Bryston. It definitely wasn't necessary. And I found it to be in poor taste. My turntable and CD player aren't Bryston either at the present time. Then again, Bryston doesn't manufacture a turntable at the moment!

So, it's cool.

Yeah, Mc has cornered the market on looks. But, it's what's inside that counts! But, BRYSTON is not ugly by any means.
