6 Ei 6DJ8 ECC88 A-Frame Yugoslavia 1970s Vacuum Tubes - $90 $75 shipped (in USA)

NOTE - the photo shows 9 tubes, but the last three have been sold.

Offered on behalf of a third party is a group of six Ei-made 6DJ8 ECC88 vaccum tubes.

All six tubes have an identical internal A-Frame construction and a crosshatch on top of the glass (although the crosshatching is more distinct on some tubes than others).

Tubes #1-5 are labeled PRO/COMM 6922 E88CC, and Tube #6 is labeled Penta E88CC.  Regardless of the label on the tubes, these are all Ei Yugoslavia ECC88/6DJ8s (not 6922 E88CC).

Most of the tubes have a small code near the base of the tubes (which is difficult to read in most cases).  On Tubes #1-6, a part of the code is "O7" (the "O" has a dot in it).

Based on what information I can find, I believe these are all 1970s production, and were made using Philips (Holland) machinery.  They also have a very good reputation – just a notch below Amperex and Telefunken, and certainly better than similar current production tubes.

I tested these on my Weston 981 III, where min (65%) is 1350, making about 2075 "theoretical" 100% (Gm = 6X meter).  The results are as follows (rounded off to the nearest 50):

Tube #1   2600/2700
Tube #2   2400/2450
Tube #3   2550/2400
Tube #4   2500/2500
Tube #5   2700/2550
Tube #6   2600/2600
Tube #7   sold
Tube #8   sold
Tube #9   sold

This is definitely a nice, strong group.  Based on these results, you should be able to make a quad and a pair (or three pairs).

I might be willing to split the group for the right offer.

I can provide additional information or pictures upon request.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Please note that these tubes are being sold 'AS IS', but I will guarantee against a material misdescription in the listing.  In such event, I will refund purchase price less shipping upon return of the tubes in the same condition as sent.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I CANNOT GUARANTEE (OR EVEN REMOTELY PREDICT) HOW THESE TUBES WILL SOUND OR PERFORM IN YOUR EQUIPMENT.  THE TEST RESULTS ARE ONLY PROVIDED AS AN INDICATION OF TUBE PERFORMANCE IN A VERY LIMITED (AND NON-IDEAL) ENVIRONMENT.  OTHER THAN AS SET FORTH ABOVE, I EXPRESS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO THESE TUBES OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR USE OF THEM.

Money order/cashiers check/personal check preferred, but all (other than US Postal money orders) must clear my bank first.  I also accept Paypal for convenience (but add 3% to the total for US, and 4% to the total everywhere else).

Shipping in the USA via US Postal Priority Mail is included.  If you are outside the USA, contact me for a shipping quote.

Please check my feedback on Audiogon, Videogon and Ebay (ID=baileyler) and buy with confidence.
