Mapletree 2a SE is $800, and you can usually find one used for $500 or less. Best preamp I have ever heard, I used to own one but just sold it. It also has the ability to use 12sn7's, 12sx7's, and 7n7's in addition to the standard 6sn7's, so your tube rolling possibilities are huge.
