Hi volks,

There are no new transformers for the 4B.  The new caps are $200 plus shipping.

Yes, thanks for the "heads up".  It may get some of my BRYSTON Customers off the fence.

Will it affect the TORUS products also?

I was under the impression that the 28Bs currently listed at $16,900 (after last year's price increase). With this year's price increase, the 28Bs new list price would be approximately $17,900 - are these numbers correct

Be well...

james

It's sad... then again, if my boss tells me that I don't get a rise, I am getting angry as well...

On the other hand, when selling Bryston stuff used, one can refer to the list price of the current model. The formula is "higher list price = higher used item price".

And another one: Dynaudio, my favorite speakers manufacturer, published a book in the 80s, called, "the book of truth". Besides the notion that the place where Dynaudio maintains its development and production facilities in Denmark is that dull that you actually cannot do anything else but develop and build great speakers, they also state their philosphy: "If we need more money, we don't build more speakers, but increase prices". I think, Bryston is in the same boat. There isn't an annual productivity increase in manual manufacturing and - thanks god - Bryston doesn't tailor products to meet or keep a product at a given price point, sacrifying audio quality or durability along the way.

Cheers!

Too bad the "3"  was not introduced before the price increase.  I wonder how many folks will actually use the hdmi 1.4 capability?
