actually the Tact 2150 even in its full blown room correction/analog card mode is LESS expensive than the NAD ($5500 vs $5900) AND if you don't need the Room Correction package, the price drops to $5000 or less depending on whether  you want a unit with the volume wheel.  Tact has updated their software a number of times so while the physical characteristics may be the same,  it is not the same amp is was when first released. 

PLUS there is a brand new T2 unit which would be @ $3000 with analog card - half the price of the NAD

I have only heard and own the M2150 version like it a lot!  I am amazed neither Tact  nor NAD  has introduced something with USB digital inputs.  Seems both are really missing the boat there.

Upon hearing about the architecture of this NAD amp and it's implementation of the DDFA module, I called Zextex to find out more about it.  It seemed strange to me that they were not really interested in providing information so that a new company could purchase their chips and design a unit for the marketplace.  It appeared that they were happy with the arrangement that they had with NAD. This is all fine and well but I really wonder how many units they could expect to sell through NAD alone?  It does seem hard to re-coup the design costs with one manufacturer.  Perhaps it is just a situation were NAD has a certain "grace period" to market the product and then it will be opened up to others. 

I am just really interested in this technology implementation and looking to have more options.  I will admit to being impatient as well.
