I changed from a standard Xantech 780-10 IR receiver that worked my preamp volume-mute/CDP perfectly, to a 780-80 CFL/LCD friendly one because of a new tv causing interference.
The CDP stills works but the preamp does not respond. The preamp stills works when the remote is pointed direct to it so it is not the remote. Switched the emitters around between the CDP and Pre and proved that both emitters work. Switched back to old IR receiver and Pre works on that one.
The only thing I can think of is the frequency is different? The new receiver is set to an IR carrier repeat of 38 kHz. Does anyone know the carrier frequency of the Bryston BP6?
