I am curious too.  Until James gets to answer I'd guess the processor would be 50-60W and the preamp a bit less.

I will ask engineering but at home on my Torus CS15 AVR unit (which shows the amperage draw) when I turn on the BP26 it draws 1/10th of an amp.  The SP2 /SPV-1 draws 2/10ths  of an amp.

ok. thanks, James. so the consumption depends on the amp that is used??? something like "the bigger the amp - the higher the pre's consumption" ??? i don't really think that is the case...but who knows?! let's see what engineering have to say.

Current draw on a 240V system should be 1/2 what the current draw would be on a 120V system for  the same Power Consumption.

No the amps size will not affect the current draw from the preamp.
