finished my Bugle
« on: 14 Feb 2010, 09:09 pm »
Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to thank everyone on the forum for all the posts, they helped a lot when I put my Bugle together. I want to thank Jack Gallager too for getting the kit to me so quickly. The preamp is outstanding. I used a little spalted apple to make a new faceplate for a tuner chassis that I put the Buble in. Now for more listening!

The phono pre in the adcom is not that bad either.

Gotta love those little square buttons from the 70's!

Nice build, the recess for the LED is a lovely touch. Enjoy!

Thanks for the kind words Bill. The Adcom does have a very nice phono section but the Hagerman has more resolving power. Pat I took a cue from you and used a LM4562 at u3, very nice.
I have an AR Es1 with Premier MMT and Shure V15MR feeding the Adcom and an LP12 Ittok K18 feeding the Hagerman. I set  my brother up years ago with the AR but found it packed away during a visit so I asked for it . The K18 will be replaced soon with Denon DL160 or Benz Micro Silver. I built the Bugle with 44db of gain.

Way - to - go - dwb...........

Nice set up and good space between the power supply and preamp.
Just the way Jim Hagerman recommends it.

4 inches

and it looks good too!
