Hi James, James at Absolute was mentioning something to me today about an optional upgrade to the power transformers in your amps.

Can you enlighten me on what this upgrade is all about and if my 14B-SST2 (s/n 000672) already has it or should have it done??

By what he was telling me, I'm not sure if it's a warranty upgrade or an upgrade option you're offering at a fee??

Hi Wayne.  The upgrade to the transformers and capacitors on the 14B SST2 is $850.00.  Any amp after SN 00677 has the upgraded components.  James posted a memo with all the info on the Bryston Amplifier Upgrades Info" thread.

Just my luck, I was off by five units and ended up with the older version.

Same thing happened with the Torus I bought.  A few months after I bought it, an upgrade came out.
