AVA product history

Is the T-5 a step higher, or better than the Fetvalve in the AVA pre amp line? Will Frank have enough parts (active devices) to support either models indefinitely? I don't plan on upgrading either.

The T5 is a tube unit while the Fetvalve is a hybrid so they are not apples to apples. I believe the T7 was the hybrid during the T5 period(the generation before the T8 and Ultra) and the Fetvalve was the generation before.

We do have all the active devices around to support any of our older equipment long term.

I might also point out that I have firm instructions to those who will take over the business after I finally decide to retire (no way short term) or am dragged out of here, to continue warranty service before anything else.  No "we are gone and so is your warranty" allowed here.

Thanks Frank, and it's nice to know that you'll support your product long term.

But come on, you have the best job in the world, no need to retire.

This would be good news if I could ever get any of your products to fail!  My mosfet/superfet stuff must be 30 years old, is in daily use (for at least 5-6 hours a day in the HT) and just keeps working.  I'd upgrade it, but it still sounds good and, more importantly, still works just fine.
