I'm selling a pair of 1M Aural Harmony Cryo Gold Alloy Sonnet-R interconnects in XLR. It has been used for less than a month so it's pretty much new, and in mint condition. It really opened up the soundstage in my headphone system and gave music a well defined instrument placement. People are raving about how well these cables have worked for them. This is a description of the Sonnet-R XLRs by the manufacturer.
1) The inclusion of N-gel ™ inside of the Teflon tubing. N-gel ™ is a mineral oil based nitrogen filled gel which reduces micro vibration in the interconnect and seals the wire from any possible tarnish throughout the years of use.
2) A new mechanical braiding machine which makes production more efficient and produces a very even repeatable braid.
3) A carbon impregnated outer jacket which not only looks great but protects the braid from possible mechanical damage.
4) The use of Neutrik Gold plated XLR connectors.
5) The internal volume of the Teflon tubing used in the Sonnet-R is 3 times greater than the wire it encases giving it more air than Teflon insulation...as close to no insulator as is reasonably possible.
6) The use of an Arc Spot Silver weld which bonds the wire with the connector...the wire and connector terminals become one metal, a seamless connection. The connection is then soldered with our 4% Ag solder to finish the connection for maximum strength.
Each 1 meter pair is constructed using 21 feet of our Gold Alloy Rectangular Solid Core wire in Teflon tubing which is braided into a 3 wire configuration ( 1 for +, 2 for -) What makes the wire in this interconnect really special is that it’s dimensions are approx. a 20ga. wire wide and a 29ga. wire thick. Almost like having two wires in one...20ga. for super bass and mids and 29ga. for a silky smooth top-end. The sonic signature of this wire is one of total purity...drum attacks are right on, finger sound from acoustic strings are all there, bass impact is powerful and authoritative. This combination produces a soundstage that is more breathtaking, three dimensional and blacker in the quiet passages than any interconnect we have produced to date. TOTALLY neutral, this interconnect will reveal ALL things in your system possibly in the most musical way you have ever heard...these are not my words but those of customers who are now using these interconnects in their systems. Soundstage width, depth, AND height so palpable that with your eyes closed you will swear you are at the performance. During break-in but especially after 200 hours the music coming thru this interconnect has almost an aura around it...super smooth but with all the detail. This wire produces even more air than our round wire Sonnet II..more than one customer has commented that with this wire they were able to hear the hall BEFORE the music started, this interconnect has an ability to resolve super low levels better than any interconnect I have heard. There is no magic here just the result of high purity silver. gold and copper with a long crystal structure. I am not bragging here or over stating the musical quality of this wire, all you need to do is check our feedback to grasp the total picture.
