Just wanted to say a big hello to all the other bryston dudes out there and give you an update on where my system is heading  :D ...

I have been using a bryston 4B SST for well over a year now with my current set up and Im really enjoying it. I have recently had the opportunity to listen to home demo a BP26 and MPS2 and was very impressed, that was until the power supply went pop.. :(

I cant really justify 3600 big ones at the moment so I managed to source a BP20 and MPS1 . Hopefully with me late this week or early next.

Im hoping it will make a good match with the 4B SST.

Looks like Im also going to have to purchase some more balanced XLR's ..Im using Van damme studio grade V3. Can anybody make other recomendations?

BP20 with 4B SST is a match made in heaven.

Look into a Torus unit if you have the means.

What ever you buy, it's a good place for a .5mtr length between the pre and the  2ch power. I use a .5mtr balanced from Empirical audio. The cables are pricey but the .5 mtr length brings down the price. I am sure you would save with the Van damme cables in that length too. It isn't a mono block amp so any thing over .5mtr might be a waste of money here.

Just ordered 2 pairs of Gotham XLR's from ebay...loads of excellent reviews..very reasonable cost.

Ill let you folks know how I think they compare against the Van damme time cop's!

BP20 in my possession Tuesday- wednesday.

Agreed...but...

1m lengths allow me the flexibilty to place the kit where I want on my hifi cabinet   :D..... 0.5m restricts me to placing the dac and pre on top of the 4BSST  :(

I don't have a typical stacked hifi rack...I will post some pics to show you folks soon..

I notice allot of the guys on here are USA based..and judging from the pics I have seen probably have more room to play with than me in the UK in my typical UK house......

Hi Matty,

Let's not forget our buds in the land of the Big Red Maple Leaf.  There are alot of them on here as well.  Besides, Canada is ground zero when it comes to Bryston. :thumb:

Very happy...

The BP sounds 'just right' with the 4B SST where the ATC didn't

Bonus is I sold the ATC for £650 and  bought the Bryston BP20 for £400  :eyebrows: :eyebrows:
