SP 1.0 1.7 2.0 ???

SP 1.0 1.7 2.0 ???

Hi,

I think the SP1.7 is a 1.0 with a 7.1ch analogue input so you can decode in the player new audio formats that the 1.0 does not do on its own.

What does the 2.0 bring to the table beyond the 1.7 ???

Curious while I wait for the 3.0

Not sure but I think he DAC was also changed in the 1.7 vs. the 1.0.  The 2.0 improved the DSP.  The 3.0 will have HDMI to handle the lossless formats from Blu-Ray and a new analog section

The digital DSP sections in the SP1 the SP1.7 and the SP2 are all different as will be the SP3.

I was just tempted with a 1 or 1.7 while I waited for the 3.....

The multi ch of Bryston products is an area I have not had much of a play with......
