FS: Mapletree Magic 5SE preamp. Uses 6sn7 (or 12sn7) and 6R7 tubes. Included are the rare superior 12SX7 (select 12SN7).

This preamp is unique in having 3 manners of operation. 1. Passive 2. SRPP (using the 6R7 tubes) and 3. Cathode Follower.

This pre in the third mode sounds (to my ears) exactly like the current, model Line 2A ($740). The second mode sounds less full, ripe, but is cleaner (to my ears).

Painted in "GE orange".
