I'm having an issue with my Emotive Audio Erato.
While playing music the sound will suddenly jump down in level, then switch to the right channel only, then cut out completely. At this point the woofers seem to try and jump out of their boxes. Yikes! I of course quickly kill the power. When I switch it back on it will play again for an undetermined amount of time until the same thing happens. Sometimes I'll go a whole listening session without it happening at all, then the next time it shows up again.
This happens on whatever source I connect. I also know it's not the power amp because this does not occur when I hook that amp up directly (it has a volume control). I also have replaced all tubes with fresh tubes. It can't be localized to one channel. I checked the fuse and its OK.
Has anyone ever heard of an issue like this? Since it's Sunday I haven't tried contacting the manufacturer yet. I thought I'd see if anyone here has ever dealt with this issue before.
