Moving on up!!!
« on: 19 Jan 2010, 10:46 pm »
Hello folks

Just moved ahead and purchased a 14Bsq today. I have my 4Bsq up for sale for anyone lucky enough to buy it. That amp is fabulous and was really hard for me to resign on selling it. In fact over xmas this year i declined asking prices since i was very skeptical. There is a likely hood i will have both amps in my house at once so i am really really interested in doing a side by side comparison for anyone interested.

Great move Werd you'll love the 14B I'm sure.  Not sure what speakers you have but with my IB1 PMC's there was a profound difference going from the 4B to the 14B.  Make sure you do some stretches and limber up before moving that monster around :o

Congrats Werd,I said the same, 7s were my limit.Then low +behold what's this 28s :o.
If I don't do a 28 for my centre , then I'd for sure up grade my 7B-sst to the 2.
Werd when does she arrive. If I remember correct the 14 is just as heavy as the 28 80lbs :thumb:.

Werd, that's what I also did with the 20a Torus.I put some LP jackets in front of  her and week by week I'd slide the jackets over 1/4 " or so, and then every week a little more(let the wifes mind's eye)
not really notice.Suttle, but effective,I think.Actually I'm sure she's just letting me think I'm out smarting her,OH the Stressss I create for myself :thumb:.

Congrats, Werd.  Good luck getting the 14 to look like a 4 so your wife doesn't notice.

So Alex, what you are saying is vierzehn ist besser als vier, nicht wahr!!

I guess a 4B SST/2 is a possibility but I'm still paying for the 3B SST/2. Then I would have two Bryston's I'm not using.

I was thinking of getting another set of Studio 100's first for surround duty. That would make for serious kick @#$ bass. :D

hi, Dyna!

na wenn ich von dem ausgehe, was die anderen sagen, dann sollte die 14 die "erwachsenere" sein. bin mal gespannt, welchen unterschied Werd feststellt.

Werd,

Size matters

The 14B is TALLER than the 4B..........

So its not the same size/colour............

What is good is when the wife/girlfriend (or both  :icon_surprised:) dont notice the new bit of kit but do say "wow why does that sound better?..........."

Yah but she wont notice the diff in size/height... its tucked into the bottom of my rack. Now if i went silver 19in with handles. That she would notice since i have to readjust everything. Thats what i wanted, but i am such a coward....

She doesnt listen to my kit, she listens to a jvc shelf unit upstairs....
