Anyone here own a pair of the new Klipsch RB75 loudspeakers? I am considering buying a new pair. They are a pretty new model and I can't find much information on them. Would love to hear honest opinion from someone who knows them well or better yet, owns a pair.

How different are these new ones from the 'KG' series?  I owned 2 sets of them a long time ago.  I would describe them as good party speakers.  Gobs of sound shot out of them, that's for sure!  They could probably maintain 100+db without any problem for long periods of time... I entertained the whole block sometimes.  Oh the memories...

Sorry, I don't know how they'll sound but, I doubt you'll find a slew of Klipsch fans around here.  I don't care for them myself but, to each his own.

the new reference series from klipsch do soound very good....

the RB75's are actually the second generation of the reference series....

they have a much more refined sound than the heritage or classic series....

if you like the sound that you hear in the showroom, you have a great start... as with other horn speakers, they are very revealing of source material as well as amplification.....

many klipsch owners use tube amps with great success.... some solid state amps and receivers sound absolutely terrible with these speakers....meanwhile others match up very well with the klipsch speakers...

if you haven't heard klipsch in awhile.... go check out the reference series... ultimate electronics is the dealer in my area that carries the line.... bring your favorite recording along and enjoy.....

I certainly hope they've improved since I heard those KG's.  I heard the corner-horn, the cornwall or something like that... and the KG was supposed to be the 'new improved' one.  I bought the 2.5 and the 1.5 I believe.  They were mated to an Onkyo integrated SS amp... that was known to be bright and harsh to begin with.. I know it wasn't a good combo for accurate listening but, boy was it loud.  And in the mid-90's that's what I wanted.  Every system I've built past that I've still wanted a 'lively' sound but little by little I keep working back towards dead neutral and leaning to warm... but not too warm or 'sweet'.. or colored...

So, if the new RB75's are very neutral and don't sound like a horn and sound like music, that'd be a good improvement.  I just don't care for that horn sound.  However, I haven't listened to horns in a long time... maybe I'll check 'em out ...
