Tax time. Hopefully I will get a large enough refund to get some new speakers. I really want to find a set of Druid MKIVs at a great price. I have seen them as low as $1400 here and there. I am in Idaho so keep shipping in mind. I do not really have a preference on color....black, white, silver, red, brown, etc....I can always have them refinished down the road. They do not need to have the 08 upgrade. I can do that as well. I am willing to drive to pick them up....up to 800 miles or so....salt lake, portland, seattle, denver, vegas, etc.

I will update this post if I realize I will not be able to make the move at this time, but if something pops up, I can probably find a way to make it work. Thanks guys!

Zu is in Ogden, Utah, about 30 miles north of SLC. Since they sell factory direct, they are constantly in touch with their customers and would be aware of people who are interested in moving up within the Zu lineup. Therefore, you could reasonably expect them to be able to refer you to individuals who need to sell their Druids before they move on to Essence or Presence.
Likewise, if you inquire of Sean Casey, it is possible there may be factory blems or leftovers or show samples or whatever laying around waiting for someone like you to inquire. A factory invite is likely as well. They are a fun, friendly bunch. It wouldn't hurt any if you were into motorcycles too.

I just ordered a pair of the Essence speakers from Zu on Friday.  Not sure what the ship or delivery date is it was pretty late in the day when I submitted the order.

I've heard some former Druid owners have regretted the so-called upgrade to the Essence, so I'm a little reluctant to sell the Druids right now with having not yet heard the Essence.

Assuming I do want the Essence, I'm thinking of selling the Druids.  They are the Druid MkIV/08 speakers, original black matte finish.  Asking price will be $1500.  I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and assuming the Essence speakers get here in a couple of weeks and I like them, I'd be ready to sell the Druids about a month from now.
