I think showing enthusiasm when writing about music and hifi can be very encouraging for people. If looking for a good piece of equipment I found myself that while detailed reviews were key to deciding what to buy they were not helpfull in me realising my love of music.
Self doubt can creep in when looking at high end hifi, usually fuelled by people writing about what they have little or no experience of. I was required to make a large leap of faith and other peoples' positive words helped me make the step. I certainly don't regret doing so. Cheers, Ben.
