.5 B for sale
« on: 10 Jan 2010, 02:43 pm »
Guys:
I still have a .5 B preamp for sale. It's in great operational condition.
I just picked up a BP-6,so I really don't need it.
Asking $250.00 USD+ shipping.
Thanks for looking!

Probably should be in the for sale forum, but for anyone who wants to add a phono stage this is a economical way to get you're feet wet. Just use the .5 as a phono stage and run the tape out to your main pre-amp's aux in.

colhogan,  I'd love to have a Bryston pre-amp for my 4B-ST.  Unfortunately, January and February aren't a great time to be buying a pre-amp at my house.  It's just after Christmas and I've got one kid in college and 2 more right behind him.

I'm currently using a Parasound PH850 preamp.

Does anyone in the circle have info on what I might be able to hear if I replaced my Parasound pre-amp with a .5B?

I know that the BP25/4B-ST are a fantastic combination and if I could have any pre-amp. I'd want a BP25.

hi, HSV!

well, the best thing to do is of course a direct comparison between the different preamps. but if you don't mind to spend 250 bugs at your own "risk" then i would say go for it. personally i would go for a 25 or a 26.

I watch for Bryston pre-amps out on ebay. I just haven't gotten around to getting one.

I'm happy with my current setup, but always wonder "how much better would it sound if I did something different?"

I do think I'm going to crank up some Santana and some Stevie Ray Vaughn when I get home.
