what happens to the sound quality if i set up a pair of HT3 without their plinths and spikes?

i know i should really install them just that in my odd setup it would be better without them?

Well, I designed the crossover without the benefut if any plinths and spikes, and none of the speakers I have here are spiked or plinthed.  Maybe they would sound a little better if they were, but it's no show stopper.
