I ran this amp with the 91db ShengYa V-518 speakers at the Men's Expo in Calgary, in a 30,000 sq ft arena (with 25 ft. ceilings). The show's organizers shut down the main PA and asked us to play rock, not a problem. The JA88D-09 didn't even break a sweat filling the hall. I've run major live PA systems and was quite surprised myself. I was part of the test group for sound last year on this amp's redesign and it so much better than the previous version for typical audiophile use. If you want that big power tube sound without the tubes, this is as close as you can get without breaking the bank.
Jungson and I have been working on getting a high quality phono-stage built into their (and our amps), this is not a simple $5 part thrown in as an afterthought, it is a high quality phono-stage that is properly isolated from the huge Jungson transformers.
