My guess is that these new DSLRs which shoot video are so novel is that they now allow for using the lenses whose look we are so accustomed to seeing in movies. I think it's mostly lens, and secondly response curve. But hell, if you can get a
yak in your shot the rest is gravy.
I am grateful that, as of yet, I don't want one myself, even though that's some lush looking footage.
I surely don't need another cool tool in search of content!
