Interestingly I bought a GTA SE40 from Echo about 10 years ago (maybe 11). Loved the cosmetics. Unfortunaetly, sound, to my ears, wasn't any better than an updated Dynaco ST-70. I took the SE40 back after a couple days of auditioning it. I think there is something about paralleled output tubes that tends to smear the soundstage and makes the design over complicated. If you have 3 in parallel, just compounds that. BUT, in all things audio, YMMV!! Audio Note, for example, parallels tubes all the time.
