One feature I felt lacking in our January live vs recorded demo was a lowbass source. So, for 2010 we are providing a 30" (or larger, depending on whether we can fit it into our truck) bass drum--tuned to 26Hz-- in our ensemble and will recruit audience members and invited guests to give it a whack.
At least one celebrity has agreed to
provide a big finish for the "Rhapsody in Blue" which we will perform twice daily. If you harbor a life ambition to play in a band, this is a great opportunity requiring no talent. Just come by the Lake Mead Ballroom of the Flamingo on Fri, Sat or Sun after 1pm and you might well find yourself with beater in hand. I'll be giving cues from the percussion table. Participants receive a free souvenir CD of their performance.
