What's on your 2010 Bryston wishlist?
« on: 30 Dec 2009, 02:59 pm »
Me, it is the MPS-2 Power Supply for my BP-20.

Just want to know from those that have done this upgrade what changes they have noticed please from the MPS-1.

Hmm, if I win the lottery, I'd want:

BP26 pre-amp to replace my Parasound

BCD-1 to replace my Denon CD changer

14BSST2 to replace my 4B-ST

PMC BB5's

and a complete Bryston/PMC home theatre system.

Well, this ain`t something big:

2 x 6 meters of XLR to XLR cable
2 x 0,75 meters of loudspeaker cable if possible to biwire or triwire

This would mean that I could position my monoblocks adjacent to speakers. :thumb:

How about this for as boring wish list item: new power cables for the 7's, BP26 and Esoteric X-05.  Oh, here's a spicier wish, that Michael Fremer will come to us on his knees begging forgiveness for hurting the 7B SST2's feelings. :deadhorse:

For 2010 :

Cinema room got to be a SP3 if the final design spec suits.

2ch room got to be a pair of 7B's to run the mids in my BB5i's - SST or SST2.

Dream list........

BP26 just to bring my 25 up to date, Doubt I will do that........

I need proof that the 28B exist !!!

Hopefully a bigger room and another 28 across the front and the SP3.

Another 2B SST/2, then I can benefit from the advantages of a fully balanced configuration above 290 Hz driving the high pass portion of my system.

I'm thinking it's kinda like a mini 7B set up. I promise I won't allow it to get Fremerised!

Bryston / JBL, a fabulous combo, IMHO.

Hello Volks

I use JBL 1400 Project Arrays with a BP26/28B combination. I am not sure what speakers my wife will like with a BCD-1/B100 combination - time will tell. I would like her to use JBLs, but as it will be her system, she will have to select speakers that sounds great to her ears.

Be well...

Predrag,
what are the benefits of having the monoblocks positioned adjacent to speakersplease?
Intrestingly, that I'm also in the same thought, and I want to convince myself for such extra expences

Over the past three years I have managed to purchase a 4B SST2, BP25 with MPS2, BDA1, and 10B Pro crossover so this year I am probably going to pause on any major purchases.  Although a 15 amp Tours unit is a possibility, it will wait until late 2010 / early 2011.  The possibility of upgrading the BP25 to BP26 for $600 (if Bryston still performs the switch) is one possibility that I might perform early on.  However, it is my understanding that the BP25 to BP26 upgrade is purely cosmetic so I have always been reluctant to spend $600 on cosmetics.

Cheers,

John
