I use a USB cable made by Virtue Audio to connect my MacBook to the DAC in my RWA Isabella.  Once burned in, the Virtue cable is a tremendous improvement over the stock cable provided with my Isabella.  Most noticeable was the extended resolution without upsetting the already fine tone provided by the Isabella.   I have not compared the Virtue cable to any other ones that I've read about; I am so pleased with it that I do not feel the need to for now.  Good luck with your search.

I too found the Virtue USB cable excellent. I found it a great improvement over a couple more expensive USB cables.

I'm loving my Locus Design Axis. I've worked my way up from a generic cable to a Belkin gold to the Locus Design Polestar and finally to the Axis. Each cable has been a leap up in quality. From here I'm sure I can go further, but the law of diminishing returns applies.

Ridge Street Audio Enopia, Alethias and Poeima! These are the best cables to make your SQ like analong. I have an extra Enopias for sale should you want.

I prefer the Locus Design Axis and Nucleus USB cables over the Ridge Street offerings which are really really good but a bit too laid back for my tastes. I prefer a highly detailed & dynamic cable with a multilayered sound stage which are the trademark of the Axis & Nucleus cables. With these high quality cables, it all comes down to preferences IMHO.

I recently acquired the new Cardas USB cable. Bought it off of a dealer on Audiogon who offers a trial period ($134). I have had it in my system for two weeks connecting my Macbook Pro to my Tranquility DAC. Wow. It really brought the sound of my system up a notch. Everything seems a better (bass, sound-stage, mids and highs). Just a big overall improvement. Highly recommended.
