I have just inherited a set of Super Tower/R, Special Edition & Super Tower III speakers. They are in light oak and are in excellent condition. Serial # 35-10066 and 35-10067. I need to know a value for I sense they have some worth. I also have a huge Onkyo amp and tuner that drives them. You can hear the flames in the barrels of the cannons on the 1812 Overature. They are just way too big for my house. How can I market them?
First congratualtions on your inheritance, and WELCOME to the VMPS Circle!
The
GOOD NEWS is that these are remarkable speakers and Brian is still supporting most of the older speakers he has built.
The
BAD NEWS is that they are of high worth only to a specialized market (who appreciate) them.
There is no real Blue Book or worth (other than recent sales) and for the most part depending on their condition it is a task of finding the right buyer who is willing to "pick them up" or pay for their packing and transport.
You might also consider a local marketing strategy like a local/regional
Craig's List as well. Posting where you live might be helpful.
And I would certainly list them in the
AudioCircle Classifieds.
Too bad you can't find a good use for them.
